Bioinformatics Research Director

Job Description

Bioinformatics Institute is the first non-governmental non-commercial bioinformatics research and educational institution in Russia.

We are looking for a full-time senior bioinformatics researcher to conduct research (computational, no wetlab), publish papers, lead collaborations and scientific grants, supervise students on research projects, participate in the Bioinformatics Institute summer schools and other events.

Research fields primarily include genomics (NGS data analysis) and bioinformatics algorithms in general, but are not limited to them.

Starting date: April or May 2015.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• PhD in Bioinformatics or Computer Science, or solid bioinformatics experience over 5+ years,
• experience in global collaborations and writing research papers in English,
• extreme self-sufficiency and self-direction – you will set your own research goals and directions, and you will direct others,
• positive attitude and culture.
